Ebola: Executive Relocations Available for Support

As the outbreak of Ebola continues to heavily impact business and society in affected African countries, Executive Relocations provides the following overview and useful resources.

Countries worst affected by Ebola presently include those in West Africa – Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone declared States of Emergency, with Nigeria also confirming recent Ebola contractions – and what is suspected to be an unrelated strain detected in the Central African Republic.

Estimates from international health professionals expect the virus’ impact to be felt for at least six months.

As several major airlines discontinued their services to countries battling Ebola – prompting international calls to reverse this trend and swift assurances regarding the safety of air-travel (see below) – neighbouring countries closed their borders and cautionary travel bans and curfews were introduced.

Although air and sea-travel has not ceased, service restrictions have resulted in significant delays being experienced and these should be anticipated in travel plans made at this time.
